S3​

Backup Job Completes With Issues (MessageCategory: Miscellaneous)​

An S3 backup job can finish in a COMPLETED_WITH_ISSUES state with MessageCategory: Miscellaneous. This is expected, and safe to ignore, if either of the following happened while the backup was running:

  • Objects were added to or deleted from the bucket.
  • A lifecycle policy deleted objects, or transitioned them to Glacier.

Both are just the bucket changing underneath an in-progress, point-in-time backup job, not a sign of a misconfiguration.
